Manor information

El Injerto farm Estate has always been a pioneer of specialty coffee in Central America. Almost 50 years ago, it was one of the first estates to focus on a single variety and vertically integrate the production of high-quality coffee. These efforts have paid off sweetly for El Injerto farm (and Macadamia) who have won 27 awards in 15 years at the prestigious COE competition, an achievement no one else can match. The El Injerto farm has a total area of 447 hectares, most of which are located between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level, where coffee, fruit, basic food crops, and ornamental plants are planted. The remaining hectares are preserved as a millennium virgin forest, which endows the manor with a special temperature and has the right conditions to enjoy clean water directly from the mountain spring. In addition, it constitutes a perfect habitat for wild animals and plants, and it is intended that coffee cultivation is within an ecosystem that protects our natural environment. The forest area surrounds the coffee plantation, the annual rainfall of the estate is about 1800-2000 mm, and the relative humidity is 75%. The soil is deep volcanic, well drained and rich in organic matter.

Coffee items and introduction

Maragogype (Elephant Bean) is also one of the varieties that El Injerto farm is proud of. The particularly strong bean body and unique flavor expression make it possible to buy micro-batches of this variety in the manor almost through the bidding auctions of the manor in previous years. In recent years, El Injerto farm has even kept all of its own Maragogype as the exclusive roasted coffee beans of El Injerto Cafe.
ERGOS is very honored that due to the long-term direct trade cooperation with the estate, we have secured a very small amount of Maragogype imports for Taiwan's very blessed bakers. Its special aroma of bergamot and small white flowers has an excellent performance when this bean is dry, and a little rum tonality in the mouth, which is unforgettable.
