Manor Introduction

Located in the east of Guatemala, the Las Minas Mountains contain countless treasures belonging to Guatemala. In addition to the natural forest ecosystem and wild animals, there are rich gold mines and jade veins, making the treasures of the Las Minas Mountains famous throughout Central America. In order to protect this mountain forest, the Las Minas Mountains are now planned as Guatemala National Park.

In the early days, the Las Minas Mountains were cold due to their high altitude and latitude, which made the local area unable to grow coffee. However, with the influence of the greenhouse effect, high-altitude specialty coffee plantations are gradually appearing in the Las Minas Mountains; among them, the most famous one is the La Bella.
Bella, in Spanish, means "beauty" and exactly describes this beautiful estate. Biya Manor is one of the first estates in the Las Minas Mountains to plant high-altitude specialty coffee. After the Guatemala Cup of Excellence (COE) emerged, this emerging micro-producing area began to occupy a place in the Cup of Excellence. Located on the southern slopes of the Las Minas Mountains, the volcanic island chain in the south of Guatemala isolates the moisture from the Pacific Ocean, while the mountains in the north block the moisture from the Atlantic Ocean, making the microclimate here very dry. However, Biya Manor has unique conditions. There is a gurgling mountain spring in the manor, so that the manor has abundant water all year round for irrigation and sophisticated water washing treatment.
After the efforts of four generations of the manor family, Biya Manor now has excellent experience and wisdom in terms of seed selection, planting, harvesting, and processing. At the same time, the manor attaches great importance to environmental protection: using solar-powered drying facilities, recycled water, and earthworm incubation tanks (enhancing soil fertility through natural composting); and is committed to improving the quality of life of manor workers: providing medical assistance, education, living environment and related society Welfare and other services.
Villa Sarchi is an emerging variety derived from a natural mutation of Bourbon. Driven by the Guatemala Coffee Association's new variety program, the chief estates in each production area have gradually begun to try to plant and harvest new varieties of Verasaki in recent years. Biya Manor is one of the successful cases. Guatemala's high-altitude high-quality specialty coffee is commended for its richness, excellent balance of sweet and sour, cleanliness, and sweetness; the micro-batch of the Vera Sage variety of Biya Manor is a classic. The dry aroma of nuts and dark chocolate, the sweet and sour balance of dark peaches and plums and sucrose in the mouth, and the aftertaste is clean and sweet.
