【Production Area Introduction|Guatemala】
Come, come, come, come, come and go!
Today I am going to share with you the New Oriental production area that has been very popular in commercial soybean products recently!
Come take a look at his profile~
【The most oriental producing area in Guatemala|New Oriente】
This unique region, which welcomes the first dawn of the country every day, is the most oriental appellation in Guatemala.
New Oriental is one of the seven major coffee producing areas defined by the Guatemala Coffee Association (Anacafe) in 1980. This area of production is defined as the land between Barberena, Jutiapa and Chiquimula.
Beginning in 1950, coffee cultivation in this region was almost entirely done by small producers.
Now, what was once one of the poorest and most isolated regions of Guatemala is vibrant and growing, with nearly every farm in the hills becoming a coffee-producing unit in its own right.
Most of the coffee in the New Oriental production area comes from small family-owned estates, and they also combine coffee with other basic crops as daily food. The region is rapidly becoming more and more famous among coffee connoisseurs, and their demand for coffee is increasing year by year. The result of this situation is that every farm on the mountain has transformed to grow coffee, replacing other crops and becoming the main product and source of income.
The climate in the production area is cloudy and rainy, and it is located in an area with frequent volcanic activities in the past. The soil here is composed of metamorphic rocks that are evenly mixed with many minerals. It is different from other soils in other volcanic soil producing areas, but it also contains many nutrients that allow coffee trees to grow healthily.
