Vivitanango is the coffee growing area with the highest terrain and the driest climate among the non-volcanic producing areas. With steep peaks and narrow valleys, it receives the hot and dry wind from the neighboring Tehuantepec plains in Mexico and blows into the mountains, so that the coffee in this area can be used at high altitudes without being damaged by frost.

Vivitanango is an extremely remote alpine terrain, making it necessary for coffee producers in the area to handle coffee bean operations on their own.

Fortunately, the region is endowed with countless small rivers, allowing local growers to set up coffee processing plants almost anywhere.

(If you want to go to Vivitanango, since he is located far away in the upper left corner of Guatemala, the editor recommends two ways to go, one is to take a helicopter from downtown Antigua, or take a ...a long car (vomiting bag needs to be prepared), so if you want to visit Vivit Nango's manor, you will need to arrange a few more days!)
